Hey ya'll,
This is mostly for the admins here. Staff are implementing a new infobox project called, "Portable Infoboxes". Their reasoning is that mobile traffic of Wikia is increasing to the extent that the default infoboxes are not doing a sufficient enough job of looking proper. As our wiki heavily uses infoboxes, it's important that you are kept up to date with any changes that should be tested and/or implemented.
The announcement is found here.
Due to security issues, Staff have turned off all site JS on every wiki. More info located here. This will definitely have an impact on this wiki, which uses a fair amount of Javascript code for tools.
Personal-user JS will still load, but not site JS.
In short, we lost our cool toys for now. =(
Ahoy, Battle Nations Wiki!
As you may have noticed, there are only 2 bureaucrats on this wiki. A bureaucrat is a position that allows user to grant other users rights. Alas, The Wikia Contributor, and myself, are slowly becoming more inactive. I genuinely had hoped I could remain active enough on here, but time, life, and other activities have prevented me from doing so.
Because of this, I would like to promote one of the active admins here to a bureaucrat position, as it is only fair that users seeking a position on here have a user who can confidently and quickly promote them to a position.
I shall allow you to decide you who want to serve in this position. So let the discussion commence!
Wow, it's already been over a year since Boss Strikes first happened... I've been playing for a long time. I have the 1st Anniversary Statue... >:3 :P
So, the BossBox is getting a bit... Crowded... Now we've gotten a total of 20 Boss Strikes on the wiki. We should expand the Boss Strike box to prepare for more Boss Strikes. If it were up to me I'd go with expanding the columns from 10 Boss Strikes to 15 Boss Strikes. If we added a 3rd column then this would create a bit of a mess because of the space for, well, the text.
Staff have imposed a new layout across all of Wikia, and your voice would be greatly apprciated on their blog here, as it not only affects this wiki, but thousands of others.
Hello, it's me, good ol' TWC. Although it's been a while since I've actively played and participated in this wiki, I still hold it dear to my heart at something as a bit of child. Although it would be unfair to say I was the very first one to actively edit here (there was a small group of 2-3 editors at the time), I guess it would be fair to say that I've been here the longest. As such, I've tried to check in on the wiki once a week or so or whenever I remember to. Naturally, I will try to keep checking in the wiki for as long as it remains active, as I feel like it is my responsibility ever since I requested to become bureaucrat. As the wiki has progressed, I believe there has been eras of this wiki. There was the era where I was the main bureaucrat, then it was when JosephHawk was the most active bureaucrat. The wiki changed vastly during these times, and many features seen today are there (it's been a while so I have no idea how many of my original contributions, or that of my fellow editors at the time, are still important). Admins have come and gone, each offering something unique to the wiki and have improved it with their unique skills, and these admins usually stayed within a respective "era" (many admins that I appointed are no longer active, but they worked in their own right, and some that JosephHawk has appointed are no longer active as well, and they worked on the wiki in their own way). All of this being said, I believe that it may be time for a new bureaucrat. Although this is a relatively small wiki, it is important to have one who is active and understands the community, and as much as I love this wiki, I cannot say I know any of you very well anymore, besides a few. I am not, however, the sole "dictator" I was in the wiki's early stages (as such a time called for quick decision making and favored one admin in charge and making decisions due to the small community). Naturally, I could promote anyone I wanted to admin, but I believe this would not be proper. You guys have formed your own communities and know each other and respect each other. I would like to hear if you guys believe a new bureaucrat should be named, and if so, who should it be. We can discuss potential admins, etc. here too.
Syntax Highlighting has been enabled on the wiki by Wikia Staff, per my request. If you have feedback on it, good or bad, please make sure to leave it here!
I would like to ask all admins of this wiki to please take a look at this announcement by Staff.
Cheers!
Howdy,
As most users here are well aware of, this wiki strives to hold a neutral point of view on all of our articles, without bias, or strategies. We try not to voice our opinion as a website, but let individual users say what they wish in the comments, or forums.
Now, I was thinking about the possibility of creating another wiki dedicated to Battle Nation strategies. This is just a random idea I had, and wanted some input on it.
The wiki would be formatted like this one, except, there wouldn't be overviews of units, and such, but instead gives the strategies for using such a unit. The pages would contain links to articles on this wiki, if a user wanted to see an overview. There also would be articles on different ways to play the game, etc...
So, thoughts?

The First Unofficial Lego Contest...
Battle Nations style!
Lapo90 has made a request for admin! Please vote {{support}}, {{oppose}}, or {{neutral}} on his request form.
Happy voting!
In the past, a user would approach The Wikia Contributor and ask to be promoted to the position of administrator. This worked fairly well, as TWC is a great judge of character, and quality of a user.
However, I think we should have a better voting system for users wanting to become adminstrators, so that the whole community can have a chance to vote.
That is why I have set up the BNW:RfA page. Users, if they meet the requirements, can apply for admin, and have users to support or oppose their request.
I think this will work splendidly for our wiki, but, what does everyone else think?

Hello Everyone!
Thanks to Drullkus, the Battle Nations Wiki now has an IRC. An IRC is a system that facilitates transfer of messages in the form of text. (Basically, a chat :P). No account/fee/anything is required.
Everyone is welcome to join and talk with other BN players, including the Administrators here on the Wiki.
Here is the link: IRC. Hope to see you there! =)

Dear fellow wiki users,
Since the first boss strike I've come to see an increase in guild related spam for the purpose of recruitment. Though I encourage the guild system and think it is a fun new way of enjoying Battle Nations I can't help but wonder if there isn't another way of promoting guilds on this wiki (e.g. a seperate page) as to avoid irritation on pages where these recruitment-post don't add to the discussions of the particular page.
Let's put our heads together! :)
Sincerely
