Overview[]
The Big Game Hunter was an infantry unit offered for a limited time between December 8–10 to players who are level 20+, for
50 at the Barracks. It was permanently added to the Barracks as of the 2.9 Patch for the same Nanopod price, but requires missions to unlock. The player level has been changed to level 40 from level 20.
The Game Hunter also has an area-of-effect Electrified Net attack. This attack does damage equally to all targets caught in its area, with a chance to
Stun as well. Game Hunters can use the net's ability to target any space to their advantage, finding a 'hole' in enemy formations to inflict damage to all enemies.
Given the nature of the Game Hunter's cooldowns, he can attack 3 turns in a row before waiting a round for a cooldown to refresh.
The Big Game Hunter's damage potential excels at dealing with Critters. He has resistances to fire/poison and the high armor-piercing attack can deal with Sandworm armor. Lastly, he has 100% chance to crit against critters.
The Big Game Hunter is a great purchase for low level players who were able to get one during the promotional period. However, at higher levels, this unit will probably be limited to dealing with critters and critter-tanks solely, unless if ranked up to higher levels.
