Overview[]

The Hunter is an Infantry unit that can be trained at the Barracks.

The Hunter's Compound Bow has high Stat-Offense Offense and Stat-Critical critical bonuses against Class infantry-light Soldiers and Class critter Critters, as well as ability to shoot past any non-Blocking units due to its Precise Line of Fire. It can also use multiple types of ammunition. However, all of the Hunter’s abilities share the same weapon, so using any ability triggers the weapon’s cooldown.

At Rank 3, the Hunter gains access to Compound Bow: Double Shot, which deals double damage. This attack consumes twice the ammo, has a 2-turn cooldown, changes the Line of Fire from Precise to Direct, and does not retain the Stat-Critical critical bonuses of Aimed Shot.

At Rank 4, the Hunter gains access to Compound Bow: Fire Arrow. Its initial damage is lower than Aimed Shot, but the 3-turn StatusEffect-fire Fire damage-over-time effect increases total damage beyond that of Aimed Shot. The ability has a 3-turn cooldown and can be particularly effective against some Class critter Critters, as they typically have lower StatusEffect-fire Fire damage-over-time resistance.

At Rank 5, the Hunter gains access to Compound Bow: Poisoned Arrow. Like Fire Arrow, its initial damage is also lower than Aimed Shot, but the three-turn StatusEffect-poison Poison damage-over-time effect increases total damage beyond that of Aimed Shot. Moreover, like Fire Arrow, the ability has a three-turn cooldown. Poisoned Arrow has a 5% lower Stat-Critical critical hit chance compared to the Hunter’s other abilities.

    Trivia[]

    • Even when the Hunter has 0 ammo, there is always 3 arrows in its bag.
    • The Hunter was the first Imperial unit to wear red headgear.
    • It is one of the units that does not use a trench coat, although its clothing may look like a trench coat without sleeves.
    • It is also one of the few units that does not use the armored gloves that are used by the majority of the Imperial units.
