Overview[]

The L-60 Hawker Hurricane was the Tier 3 reward during the second and fifth Boss Strikes. Before that, players got a chance to face the Rebel Army variant during the mission, Give Them Some Flak.

The Hurricane is designed to take on opposing Air units. Its Scissors combat maneuver can soften up a row of air units, but its Targeted Attack can deal devastating damage to a single enemy aircraft, potentially downing an unarmored aircraft or an aircraft with little armor in a single attack.

The Hurricane also has a Fly-By attack that will pepper ground units, but due to its random targeting nature and very limited ammo, this attack is of limited tactical value. However, it increases the versatility of the unit by providing an otherwise air-air unit some air-ground strike capability, albeit limited.

Interestingly, and perhaps erroneously, its PVP value (as well as SP and Gold reward) actually deceases once it reaches Rank 9.

Trivia[]

This unit is most definitely named after by the Hawker Hurricane, a British World War II fighter aircraft.
However, it bears no resemblance to the Hurricane, and rather looks almost exactly like the Hawker Typhoon, another British World War II fighter aircraft, which had a "bubble" cockpit.
The unit has external fuel tanks, not to be mistaken for missiles.
