Overview[]
The Raptor Lord first made its appearance during the Animal Invasion event. It has since then been appearing in regular, high player level critter encounters. It can be found in the Wild Bunch formation and high level formations in the Raptor Nest. It is effectively a much stronger version of the Scythetooth Raptor.
Most high ranking and upper tier units will still have trouble dealing with the Raptor Lord due to its high defense. It also has a high health pool to fall back on, 450 at the highest level.
Its aptly named Really Sharp Claws attack will rend most unarmored units to shreds when it scores a critical. Its second attack hits an entire row similar to the Scythetooth. Both its attacks have a global cooldown of 1 round, which effectively means that the Raptor cannot attack two turns in a row, even if both of its attacks were ready before the attack. This should give players a 1-round breather before the Raptor Lord resumes its decimation.
While it may be discouraging to see burst attacks miss or do reduced damage (even from the Tank Killer's rockets), chemical and fire attacks tend to do their full damage. Armored units, especially Tanks, will blunt the Raptor Lord's attacks considerably, but there is still the chance the armor can be shredded up before the Raptor Lord goes down. Players should be cautious of their unarmored units' position, as to not expose them to the Raptor Slash attack.
