Overview[]

The Scout is a new unit released in the 4.1 Patch. Like its Team Fortress 2 counterpart, it is a very hard target to hit, boasting 65 defense at Rank 1. Besides high defense with dodge, it is also the first Non-Resource-nanopod unit that uses a shotgun at early levels.

It can deal damage through a shotgun (known in TF2 as a "Scattergun") attack similar to Sheriff Colt's Shotgun and a 3-space Baseball Bat attack similar to a Brutalizer's Triple-strike except it can target any ground unit. However, none of its attacks can target air units. Couple this with the facts that its low Stat-HP Health, while being partially compensated by meager resistances, will mean that any unit which manages to hit the Scout will hurt the scout badly. It is possibly a good unit for low level players.

It is another unit from Team Fortress that does not costs Resource-nanopod, and can be mass produced.

Its animation sequences are quite elaborate.

    Trivia[]

    • The icon for the Baseball Bat attack shows the Boston Basher, a completely different weapon. In TF2, the Baseball Bat is an aluminum bat, while the Boston Basher is a spiked baseball bat that causes bleeding damage on hit, and bleeding damage to the player on miss. The Scout's sprite uses the Sandman, a wooden bat that can be used to launch baseballs, but lowers max health by 10 points.
