At Rank 1, this chopper comes with 80. It has worse than average base defense against and damage.
It has 4 attacks: an anti-air Machine Gun attack, two gas attacks; Stinging Gas/Nerve Gas and a Shrapnel Bomb attack. This unit is poised to be a support/attack helicopter. The high damage of the machine gun attack makes it particularly effective against aircraft, perhaps only bested by the L-60 Hawker Hurricane in that respect. However, its Stinging Gas and related Nerve Gas attacks are very poor damage dealers, and only damage infantry. Although they have a weak and a decent effects, respectively, they only have a 30% chance to be afflicted. They both have a five-turn prep time. The bomb attack, with a shorter 2-turn prep time, is modestly effective against most ground units.
It comes with 2 ability slots at Rank 1, with its third unlocked at Rank 5. The Shrapnel Bomb attack costs 15 to research.
The UH-1B is a real helicopter, and is a variant of the Bell UH-1 Iroquois. That particular variant, while not designed for ground attack, was employed as a gunship during the Vietnam War due to the lack of troop-carrying ability.
