"Battle Nation's" Vs "Clash of Clans"

I was wondering why "Clash of Clans" has a bigger Fanbase than "Battle Nations". I played "Clash of Clans" once and I didnt get attached to the game like most people say, all i remember is attacking peoples basses and building up your own base,Its basically going back and forth. While in "Battle nations", i guess its kind of the same but theres a story line and more things like Boss Strike,Invasions,or Ancient Robots going on rampages. My guess is that "Battle Nations" isnt really advertising their game or if they are,they are doing it in the wrong places. I mean no hate to "Clash of Clans" but then again everybody has different taste and likings.
